The Agreement between a Carrier and a shipper is also commonly known as the bill of lading. A bill of lading is a legal and important document given by the carrier to the shipper on the details of the consignment. The information primarily is the destination of the cargo, description of the cargo, quantity and type.
There are two parties in the carrier-shipper agreement-
The Shipper
The shipper is the person responsible for packing and preparing the shipment before turning it over to the carrier.
The Carrier
The carrier is the party who effectively moves your shipment to the allocated destination.
